Capsule inn Bali

I slept well here, even though the nightclub across the road sometimes sent a bit of noise over. It usually didn’t make it into the capsule much, or bother me too badly. The receptionist was really warm, and there’s room downstairs to park a scooter, though not a car. Circle-K and a cafe nearby cover the basics, so it works well for backpackers. Just let the owner or receptionist know if you’ll be arriving late, since reception closes around 11 PM.

I stayed from 09/22/23 to 09/26/23. This was my first capsule hotel in Bali. I’d stayed in a hostel in Yogyakarta before, but not one set up like this. The place is cute and aesthetic, and the rooms were all clean. The staff were good too, and I had fun staying here. The women’s showers didn’t have hot water, so if cold showers aren’t for you, keep that in mind. You can hear other guests talking on calls or sleeping, so it may not suit you if you need a lot of privacy. Women and men are on separate floors, which felt very safe for women traveling alone. If you just need a cheap place to sleep, I think it’s a great choice.

Walking anywhere from here could be a challenge, so getting a GrabBike from the hotel is the easier option. I really liked the room, especially since I’m interested in space. It was a fun experience, though there was a heavy smell on the day I arrived. The room could use a bit more airing out. The showers and toilets were clean, and the water wasn’t hot, but that was fine for me. The service felt odd at times. The person at the desk when I arrived couldn’t speak any English, so I assumed they were a guest. I’d expect basic English from someone working in tourism. Some staff also had friends over at the hostel, and at one point the whole first floor was busy with them rather than guests. The atmosphere felt unpleasant and not very professional. I also don’t think a hostel should charge locals and travelers different prices. Even the drinks cost us twice as much.

My pick for the best capsule hotel in Bali. Everything was clean, and the staff explained things clearly. They had tea, a kettle, and refillable water. There are plenty of beaches near the location.
