Griya Tunjung Sari

We arrived at 20h00 and the restaurant was closed, but it was easy to find food on the main street. Parking for a car was available, and it’s five minutes by car from the swiss consul, where we had an appointment. We booked three rooms for one night and found it very good for the price. Wifi reached 50kbps. The flat TVs had good picture quality and channels. Breakfast was very tasty, served in the room at the time we asked for, but it wasn’t included in the room price. There was hot shower water with good pressure, towels, drinking water, a water heater, coffee, tea and sugar. The rooms had small fridges and furniture, and the beds were clean with two pillows each. Staff were very helpful and nice. We’ll go there again without hesitation.

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were attentive and accommodating. It’s an easy walk into town, and I stayed four days. I’d come back. Thanks for having me, Griya Tunjung Sari! I arrived at 1am, and a driver was patiently waiting, even though it had taken me an hour or so to get out of the airport. The rooms aren’t new, but they’re well kept and spacious, with a mini fridge and TV. The AC worked well. I sometimes noticed a musty smell, probably due to the setup, but it didn’t really affect my stay, and a little incense was enough to deal with it.

The one good thing was how quiet the hotel was. It sits back from the main road, so it was good for sleeping. Staff and owner were nice, but the place is pretty remote, with mostly automobile repair and workshop shops around and hardly any life nearby. Our VIP room smelled terrible and was the only hotel room we’ve had with mosquitoes inside. The mattress was awful, and breakfast was the worst ever. Whatever you order, staff cook it in a small spot in the corner of the lobby.

I stayed for a month and was impressed by the cleanliness, location, and staff. It’s quiet and quaint, with a vibe that feels quite different from most hotels in Bali. Make friends with the staff and you’ll see very cool stuff.
