Kiki Residence Bali

The pool was fairly large and clean, but this felt more like a transit hotel for a few hours. Our room was dirty at check-in, with a mouldy ceiling that looked close to collapsing. There was no shower, so I had to bend over under the tap to wash. The pillowcases smelled of hair oil, and the sheets were heavily stained, as if they’d been used. The lighting was poor, and while I was alone in the room and in the bathroom, someone tried knocking on the door.

I only lasted three hours before quickly moving to a better guest house. The room was dirty, the receptionist lady was bad, and the sheets smelled of drool and seemed unwashed. The fridge was dirty, the AC kept switching on and off, and there was a soft black worm-like animal in the water pipe. That seems like a sign they don’t clean the water tank. The pool water was green. What nice pictures they show people. Don’t waste your money here. They want payment but don’t provide good service or maintain the building. It felt like a nightmare house.

The area has very few services, just a tiny minimarket in front and a Korean BBQ corner that opens in the evening. For the price, you can find somewhere better. The building has potential if anyone looked after it, but it seemed abandoned and didn’t resemble the photos. I don’t think the other rooms are better, though I didn’t see them. I sent several messages asking for information and only got an automatic reply that didn’t answer my questions. At check-in, a lady handed me the keys quickly without showing me where to go, then disappeared. In the room, the balcony lights didn’t work, the power sockets were nearly disconnected, and the fridge was off and dirty. The sheets were stained and smelled bad, the walls were dreadful, and there was mould from ceiling to floor. Glass and mirrors had obvious white streaks, like they’d been wiped with dirty rags. Towels and carpets were dirty or stained and smelled bad. The bathroom was dirty and needed renovation, and there was no toilet paper or soap. When I asked a guy at reception for a socket for my phone, he came to the room because he didn’t understand what I needed. He bothered me by trying to kiss me. He apologized several times, and I let it go, but I didn’t have a good night. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially a girl travelling alone. This really shocked me. I never leave negative reviews, but this was the worst experience ever.

The mall is only a two-minute walk away, so the location is pretty good. But the room wasn’t as clean as the pictures: paint was coming off the walls everywhere, the toilet smelled really bad, and there was no hot water for the shower. Sadly, I can’t recommend it and wouldn’t come back.
