Lembayung Sari Homestay

We picked this hotel because of its Booking reviews, but the stay turned into a serious disappointment. The photos do show the actual place, though in reality it was much dirtier. Towels and bed sheets were torn and dirty, the walls had mold, and geckos and cockroaches were wandering around. The outdoor bathroom was badly neglected, with scale and moss all over it, even though other places in Bali manage to keep similar facilities clean. We also arranged a scooter through the hotel staff after seeing earlier comments that rentals were available there. It arrived with an empty tank and damaged helmets with no fasteners. They smiled and told us that was just how rentals worked on the island, but we later used another rental company and had no such problem. We had asked the hotel ahead of time about an airport transfer and got confirmation that it was possible. After we settled the details, they stopped responding, so once we landed we had to find another ride at the airport in a hurry. When we raised any of these issues with staff, we got no answer beyond an apology. The place is badly run down, and staying there was an unpleasant letdown.
