Susan and Hendri, the lovely couple who built and run The Dream Hotel villa bali, were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was included and very nice, with fresh fruit, a traditional rice dish, and tea, coffee, or juice. They even offered all three if we wanted. They really couldn’t do enough for us. The villa has three double rooms with en suite bathrooms, all to a very high standard. There’s a pool, outdoor seating, and a separate dining area. It’s close to the harbour, with connections to Lombok and Gilli islands, making it a handy base. It’s also near the local turtle sanctuary, where you can adopt a turtle and release it back into the sea; I recommend doing that during your stay.

We’d been sent to the wrong harbour on our way to the Nusa Islands and had no cash. His wallet had been stolen in Thailand, so we were relying on a Visa Debit card that had worked fine until then. The only harbour ATM was empty, and the next one was about an hour’s walk away. It was early morning, and we were very frustrated when we ran into the owners of the dream house villa while walking back to the mainland and explained what had happened. They helped us enormously. Once we realized the empty machine had led the bank to block my card, their chef drove me to ten ATMs. After I finally got the card unblocked, he took me out again, and we were able to withdraw money. In the middle of all this, the owner offered us a place to stay, food, and drinks, just out of the goodness of his heart. The food was amazing, the villa is spacious and beautiful, and it’s only a two-minute walk from the beach. My girlfriend and I hadn’t booked a night, but we’ll stay there in the future. The owners’ generosity and hospitality alone make Dream Home Bali Villa a dream.
