Little Tree House

A lovely, quiet and cozy place with friendly staff and good service. We spent the weekend there for one night and had a great time. It’s pet friendly too, so I’ll definitely come back 😍

For the lower price, the stay was just okay. I still expected water each day, but got two of the smallest bottles on day one and no refills. The roof leaked, some lights didn’t work and the water was cut off. Big gaps under the closed front door let in lots of mosquitoes. These problems were eventually sorted out, but it took some effort. There wasn’t a sheet beneath the top doona cover.

We found a lovely hidden gem in a quiet southern corner of Sanur. The street is a dead end, so you have to loop around to get to the beach, but the walk is only about 7 minutes. In some areas we were the only Westerners. Our spacious room had a private garden area, a sun chair, an outdoor bathroom and a kitchen. The mini bar was reasonably priced and stocked, and the room was good value. We had three nights of unseasonal rain, and the leaking thatched roof was definitely a problem. A large tarp covered one part of the building. Rain was coming straight into the kitchen’s power outlets and lights, so I put plastic lids over them. Breakfast is available if you request it. I’d order the night before: after arriving first, tired from a late flight and no sleep, I waited 1-1.5hrs for mie goreng and two fried eggs. Pre-ordering was no problem. Communication on whatsapp was great whenever something came up.

There’s plenty to do nearby, from restaurants and bars to shops and the beach, with a lovely walk close by. Little Tree House is peaceful despite being right in the heart of Sanur, and the staff were super friendly. You can get food, a massage, or rent a bike there too. We had an amazing stay and highly recommend it.
