Oxy House Bali

We felt really welcomed by the owner and staff, who were warm and treated us like family. The room was pristine, with a comfortable bed and a roomy bathroom. There’s also a separate modern kitchen off the bedroom, and it’s fully equipped, with a large, clean fridge. I’d happily recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We only stayed one night after landing, before heading to Nusa Lembongan, and it worked well for a quick stop. The staff were lovely and waited up for us. Sorting things out over WhatsApp was easy, too. The room was very clean and had a kitchenette and a water fountain. The bathroom could probably use an update someday, but I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it.

The kitchen has its own door, so cooking smells don’t fill the room, and the AC works incredibly well. The sheets and towels were great, and they changed the towels every day without us having to ask. The owners and staff at oxy house are kind, caring, and always willing to help. They even gave me a ride to the beach when they saw me heading there. I loved staying here.

The staff were nice, and when they accidentally broke my brand new suitcase, they bought me a replacement. They did suggest it may have already been broken, but I appreciated that they replaced it, since many places wouldn’t have. The bed was comfortable, though I woke up with a few bites after the first night and couldn’t tell if they were from mosquitoes or something else. It’s fairly cheap, and the location is decent if you’re fine with a Grab ride or a 15 minute walk. That said, I paid the same price at other places on the island and had a much better stay. The Wi-Fi was awful, switched off overnight, and only reached the front of my room, so I had to go out every day to use my laptop. Even after I said I didn’t need cleaning or anyone to attend to the room, staff came in while I was out to turn off the AC. That made me very uncomfortable. There were dead cockroaches in the kitchen. They offered to move me, and at least the roaches weren’t alive. The smell from the water was really bad, even with a filter. That was what made me leave early and look for somewhere else. The pool is pretty much just decoration, always shaded with nowhere to sit. Be careful around it, too, because the path is narrow and there’s a ledge you could easily step down onto and at least break an ankle. There’s no food or restaurant, spa, usable pool, gym, or other amenities. That can happen at this price, but everywhere else I stayed for similar money had something. They also charge a 3% fee on the security deposit if you pay by card, and don’t refund that fee, so bring cash. I checked out three days early and asked the day after whether I could get a refund. They weren’t interested in helping and said they could return one night’s cost only if I left almost immediately, which I couldn’t do. I lost the cost of three nights, but I couldn’t put up with that water smell any longer. If you’re short on money, it’s somewhere to sleep, but I couldn’t even manage a week. I wanted to leave from the moment I arrived. For me it’s a 2-3 star place, and I only gave it three because they replaced my suitcase.
