Simon Homestay

After two days at Simon Homestay, I felt comfortable and relaxed with the family there. It was very good value for money, and they made me feel welcome. Thanks, Yogi and family. I’ll definitely book here again.

The owner was the best part of the homestay. She was so friendly and kind, always greeting us with a smile, and kept everything neat and tidy. Breakfast was included, simple but enough to get the morning started. I only stayed two days, but loved everything about the place and found it more than enough for me. We paid $450000 rupia for two nights. The room had tiled floors and air conditioning. It’s a five-minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the markets, with lots of places to eat nearby. For a touristy area, I’d suggest choosing a cheap hotel close to things so you don’t feel stuck inside, and this place fit that for me. Booking online might be cheaper, judging by what I see now.

There are lots of trees inside the homestay, which I liked. The room felt quite old, and there was a stain on the toilet floor. Hot water flowed, the AC was alright, and the lighting was dim. I took a go-jek from sanur harbour, and it cost 9k to 10k.

The service is excellent, and they try to do what you ask. It’s quiet with no traffic noise, and close to shops, a shopping mall, and a cosy quiet beach. Some rooms have maintenance issues or little privacy because they share a terrace; other rooms are better quality. Ideal place!
