The Yani Hotel Bali

We stayed three days, from 27 to 30 Dec 2018, on the second floor. It's a budget hotel and the service was satisfactory. I didn't notice any bad smell or rats like other reviews mentioned, though dogs barking in the neighborhood could be heard. Breakfast tasted good, but the choices were limited: fruit and veg salad, white rice, fried rice, a vegetable dish, a meat dish, bread, sliced fruit, tea, coffee, and juice. The main drawback is the location. Without renting a vehicle or bringing your own, it's quite far from almost everywhere except the airport.

The room was so dirty and disgusting that we took one look and checked out right away to book somewhere else. The sheets weren't clean and had holes, and towels that must once have been white were brownish grey. In the taxi, the driver said the place was known for being haunted. I regret not taking photos, but we just wanted to get out as fast as we could.

Don't book this place. The pictures are misleading, and this was the most disgusting room I've ever seen. There were stains on the curtains, bedcovers, and sheets, and I didn't even want to sit on the bed. The bath towels were brownish. We lasted about five minutes before choosing another hotel. Our taxi driver said it was also famous for being haunted. No photos, we literally ran out.

I was here on a business trip from October 9th until October 14th. The staff were very helpful, and the hotel has a small but nice swimming pool. My room was spacious and had a refrigerator. There wasn't a clothes cabinet, but that didn't bother me. I liked that the bathroom had soap dispensers instead of the bar soap many hotels provide. The TV had cable channels and the AC worked well. Too bad I had a fever during the stay, so I couldn't handle the cold air. The hotel is south of central Denpasar, between Kuta Beach and Sanur Beach, but you can get around from here. If I return to Bali with my family, I'd stay here again.
