The pool was the standout for me, absolutely huge and one of the best I’ve been to. The grounds are spacious, with plenty of room to walk around, plus a tennis court. Our room was cozy and roomy too. Breakfast was decent rather than amazing, but I liked that the menu changed every morning. On day one the bed was a little dirty. Staff changed the sheets right away and were kind and attentive, so the issue was dealt with quickly. Service was great throughout. The only other small drawback was the rather small gym, which I hope they upgrade. For the price, it was an amazing stay, and I’d come again.

The Cakra Hotel feels like a quiet retreat in the middle of Denpasar, away from the crowded tourist areas. Its broad, lush gardens make it easy to forget the city is nearby. The staff recognize me and make me feel like family, and I like the blend of Balinese tradition and a relaxed resort feel. It’s my go-to place to stay.

The hotel grounds are enormous, and in the dry season they’d be lovely for a morning stroll or light run. The facilities are a real plus: a billiard table, tennis court, 24-hour gym, and two pools. One is huge, with an area around four meters deep. It’s open to public guests and can get busy, but there’s so much space that I never felt crowded while swimming. The rooms are roomy, very clean, and well looked after, with a large bathroom, safe, fridge, and big wardrobe. There are lots of lights and outlets, entertaining TV channels, and staff available around the clock. It would work well for a longer stay. Breakfast offers a good range, and I enjoyed it. I liked the calm, cozy atmosphere and how the hotel takes care of guests’ comfort and privacy. Staff were friendly and helpful from check-in through checkout, and even contacted me afterward to check I hadn’t left anything behind. There was a free welcome drink, water dispensers around the property for refilling bottles, and tonic water in the lobby. I met travelers from Indonesia and elsewhere, which made things feel lively without being crowded. I rarely give five stars, but I really love this place and will recommend it to friends and family. I found it on TikTok, and the stay exceeded my expectations by far. I’ll definitely return.

I usually come here to swim with friends. There are two pools, with good depths of three and four meters, so they suit people who enjoy freediving. The food was delicious too. I love the surroundings and the hotel’s design, which brings back childhood memories. ❤️
