Cititel Hotel Dumai

A nice, inexpensive hotel, and breakfast is included. The decorations could be better. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The whole building lost power on the night of 24/12/2024, and there were no emergency lights. Luckily, I wasn’t using the lift then.

One of the better hotels in Dumai.

Breakfast was crowded, and there weren’t many tables, though the food was good. The kwetiaw tasted nice, but it had run out when I went back for more. My room was comfortable, but the towels had a musty smell. The check-in itself was unpleasant because the front desk was a bit rude. I was assigned a room that was already occupied, so I asked to switch. The key card wouldn’t open my room at first, and I thought I had the wrong number. I tried the room next door, and it opened that one too. The desk had only changed the room number label, not the card, so it could open all the rooms. I didn’t sleep well, though I made it safely through the night. I’d think twice before returning, especially after seeing a warning that the hotel isn’t responsible for drug cases, rape, or theft, despite many families staying there. Please improve the hotel’s management.
