The staff are really friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I especially liked the shrimp with salted egg and the nutmeg soup, both are worth trying. If you get a room facing the sea, the view is amazing. For me, this is the best hotel in Fakfak.

I was charged IDR 430.000 for laundry, which seemed really expensive. After checking my clothes once I’d left the hotel, I found some of my dresses hadn’t been returned. I also had to go down to the first-floor receptionist whenever I needed a towel after room cleaning, since the OB kept forgetting to leave a fresh one. The room phone was broken, so asking for anything meant making that trip too. A bad stay for me.

The view is the best part, and the building looks good too. But across my many stays, the service never seemed to improve. The toilet smelled, the shower didn’t work properly, and there were mosquitoes. They even put my name down wrong on the bill, despite asking for my ID. The staff often seemed to be going through the motions instead of taking the work seriously. It’s a shame, because the hotel looks good and has such a great view. I’d only recommend it if the service improves.
