Urbanview Hotel Permata Syariah Garut

It was a very small, old room, with no bathroom amenities. The wall paint was dirty and needed repainting.

I was in room 201, and it looks like some improvements have been made. The bathroom was clean, the flush worked smoothly, and the water pressure was strong. The AC was cold, and the Android TV and fast WiFi let me watch Netflix and YouTube. Getting to the city takes only about 10 minutes. The receptionist was just B aja during check-in, maybe because she was a woman, while the OB was friendly. I hope they can renovate the room and other facilities if things really are as described in my previous review.

The only good thing for me was that the bathroom had hot water. I stayed in standard room 203 on the second floor, in a residential complex of buildings that look like regular three-story houses, and I wasn't comfortable there. My room's walls were okay, but the ceiling had a messy wood patch. My parents' room was much smaller, with damp, moldy walls. The bathroom doors in all the rooms were broken and wouldn't lock, and the drains smelled bad. My room's AC had such an unpleasant smell that I slept in a mask smeared with aromatherapy oil. I booked because other hotels were full, but if you have more budget, I'd choose somewhere else.

The staff were very friendly, and the price was affordable. It's in a residential area, not too far from Garut Station. The WiFi was good, the AC very cold, and the shower water very warm, so I was fairly happy and comfortable overall. The room upkeep needs work, though. They should pay more attention to the sheets, pillowcases, and blanket. Bathroom ventilation could be better, and maybe camphor balls would help. The room and bathroom smells mix together, and some people might find it hard to stand. Air freshener could be worth trying. Thanks.
