Satu Tiga Resort

We had an amazing five days here, right at one of the island's best snorkeling spots, where you can see turtles. The beach is also the best place for sunrise, with the sun coming up behind Mount Rinjani on Lombok. Highly recommend it! It's peaceful here, while popular tourist shops and restaurants are just a few minutes away, so there's still plenty of choice nearby. Guests can use snorkeling gear and sunbeds for free. Breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed the bar and restaurant too. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and if you're lucky, you might meet the lovely owners and hear their stories about the island and reef.

The view of the ocean is stunning, and the beach is just a few steps away. You can snorkel right out front and see turtles and lots of colorful fish. They provide free sunbeds and snorkeling gear, including water shoes, and there's a great seawater pool. The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the location is wonderful.

Our two-bedroom room gave the family plenty of space, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple and good. The hotel is right on the beach, and the kids loved seeing fish in the seawater pool. We did wish there were a freshwater pool to cool off in after swimming in the ocean.

The people at Juliantos are what I’ll remember most. Buspa, Rini, Neela, Azin, Arif, Budi, Zaeni in a Good Way, and Smilin’ Sam were kind every time we spoke, patiently taught us Indonesian words, helped us plan activities, and prepared and served delicious food with care. After our day in Lombok, Zaene welcomed us with “Welcome Home.” In all my years of traveling, I haven’t had staff stand out like this. Tampiasi to all. Gili Air itself is lovely, from the coast and island walk to the welcoming people and all the chances to snorkel, dive, and dine, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was a very special stay.
