Villa Marina

This was our second time back at Villa Marina, and we'll come again. The villa, pool and garden are stunning and the team look after everything impeccably. They also make a beautiful breakfast every day and can arrange anything else you need, like bikes and laundry. Such incredible value for a perfect stay on Gili Air.

The villas are good value, and the staff are well trained and helpful. When we arrived, someone from the villa explained what to know about the island, from snorkeling to the famous food. The pool area also gives couples complete privacy, and staff leave you alone until you need them. Wi-Fi is good, and the bikes are nice quality. There were a couple of problems: the air conditioner didn't cool very well, and after heavy rain the pool water changed completely.

We stayed one night and really enjoyed it. I'd definitely recommend this villa to anyone staying on Gili Air. The call to prayer is loud, but it's part of the island's culture, so you have to accept you'll hear it wherever you stay.

The staff were friendly, and the villa was modern and very comfortable, with a good pool and outdoor area. Breakfast was good, served privately by the pool. It's near the mosque, so the prayer tower can wake you in the middle of the night, around 4am. You hear it less from farther away, but you'll still hear it.
