MAHAMAYA Gili Meno

The beach and snorkeling were fantastic. We could swim a few hundred feet out from shore and see plenty of sea turtles, so there was no need to book a boat ride. Guests can also borrow snorkeling gear and kayaks for free. My daughter and I stayed two nights in a two bedroom suite, and the beds were very comfortable. The internet worked consistently well, which mattered because we watched movies on my laptop connected to the big flat screen monitor in the "living" room. We liked having a water dispenser and the metal bottles in the room. Breakfast and coffee were plentiful and great, and the staff were welcoming and super friendly. I got a great last-minute deal through BookingDOTcom, much better than the manager's offer. We only ate at the restaurant once beyond breakfast, which was included. I tried the pesto pasta one evening and found it pretty bland, though there are plenty of other dining options nearby. I highly recommend this place.

It felt peaceful and almost private here, with a calm, quiet atmosphere that made the place feel like paradise. Sitting by the water at sunset with a drink was unreal. The whole resort has an easy island luxury feel, but it isn't overdone. Beautiful, intimate, and a perfect escape on Gili Meno.

The house reef has lots of fish, and we occasionally spotted turtles. Snorkeling and kayak equipment are free for guests, which is a great bonus. The resort is right in front of a busy snorkeling spot where people come from other areas. Rooms are spacious, and the place has a cozy resort atmosphere with warm hospitality. If you're in a group, you might consider a private speedboat. It can cost almost the same as the public fast boat, and it drops you right in front of the resort, saving you the cidomo ride from the harbour on the other side of the island. It can pick you up from the same spot when you check out, too.

We loved it here. The staff were incredible, the rooms were nice, and the food was amazing. Our air conditioning wasn't working, but they moved us the next day and handled it kindly and efficiently. You can't ask for a better location. We saw loads of fish and turtles right off the beach, and even a small shark.
