The Lagoon Bali Pool Hotel and Suites

The staff were fantastic, and I really liked the pool bar. The hotel is dated, but the room was great and opened right onto the pool. It’s tucked off busy JL. Legian, which makes for a nice spot. Breakfast at Jack fruit was the problem. The included plan only allowed a few choices from the main menue, and changes cost extra, even swapping the regular tea for green tea. That tea bag came to $4.30 au. Some main menu options cost the same as the included ones but still weren’t allowed. I’d skip the breakfast package when booking and just pay as you go.

I had a week in a pool villa and found the prices pretty reasonable. The room service menu could use some decent options, and the hotel is a little run down, though I saw work going on to improve it the whole time. It may be in much better shape in a few months. The location is great: set back from Jln Legian, so it’s quiet, while shops and restaurants are only a two-minute walk away. I’ve been to bali about a dozen times, so I liked being able to relax without going far. Staff were amazing, and I was very happy with the stay. I’ll be back.

It’s an older resort, though the pool access rooms have been renovated. Ours was very clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is set back from Jalan Legian, so it stays quiet, but the street is only around 80 metres away. Legian beach is a ten-minute walk. Great value for money.

The pool access rooms are great, but breakfast at the restaurant next door is terrible. They give you a list of set choices, then half of them aren’t available. The big breakfast has no bacon, and swapping the awful sausage for bacon costs extra. Every coffee option was bad too. They should drop the pile of lettuce and let people choose bacon or sausage.
