The snorkeling was fantastic, with turtles every time I went out, though there was a lot of trash on the beach and sometimes in the water. It was sad to see, especially compared with the almost perfect east shore of Gili Air. I imagine currents have something to do with it. I booked six nights for my daughter and me, one bungalow each, numbers 1 and 2, right at the front. At $36 per night each, I knew this was a budget stay and didn't expect much. The low price for a spot on Gili's beautiful west beach was a plus. This section was quieter than the beach farther south, and I liked that they didn't play music all day like other resorts nearby. Breakfast was included. My daughter thought it was enough, but without an espresso machine, the Lombok coffee wasn't great, so I walked down the beach each morning for an Americano, best at Bask, I'd say. Even for the price, the resort needs work. The rooms need maintenance: the sliding doors were hard to close, my toilet seat was badly corroded, and sometimes there was no water in my bathroom. There seemed to be termites chewing the wood in several places, with droppings even above my bed. The towels felt like worn-out rags. Wi-Fi was slow and only worked well around reception and the restaurant, dropping quickly in our front bungalows. I doubt it reached the bungalows behind us. There were no fridges in the rooms. Lights at the front stayed on at night and shone through the thin curtains; I asked for them to be turned off but had little luck. Instead of fixing the existing rooms, they're building more bungalows at the back, so there was construction noise. After four nights I checked us out to find somewhere more comfortable down the beach. They made me pay for the full stay in cash, without asking why we were leaving early. After traveling so far, I'd treat yourself to a better place unless your budget won't stretch.

The team made this stay unforgettable. Everyone was kind, attentive, and happy to go out of their way, and they even offered several complimentary extras. Sunset Beach Bungalow is practically on the beach, just across the road. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and we came back for lunch too because the food was genuinely good and the portions were hearty. Compared with other places nearby, the service, beachfront location, and overall feel make it outstanding value. Highly recommend if you're after a warm, welcoming place on Gili Meno.

The rooms are basic, but very clean, and the air conditioning was great on hot days. The real standout was the staff, the best service we've had on our trip and the reason I wrote my first review. When my partner was dehydrated, they called a doctor, arranged special food, and sorted out everything else we needed with so much care. It's a family-run business they've built themselves, which was lovely to hear in a part of the world where investment from other countries doesn't always leave locals with the same opportunities. Right by the sea, and turtles were less than 5m out. I can't recommend them enough.

The team helped arrange a horse and carriage to the harbor when it was time to leave, and could sort out anything I needed. I stayed for a week in a lovely beachfront bungalow with breathtaking views. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and have bicycles for exploring the island. The room had everything I needed to rest and recharge. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I'd absolutely stay again, thank you for a wonderful experience 🤗🙏🏽

I loved this place so much I'd stay a month if I could ❤️ The snorkeling right out front is amazing, and the beach has comfy bean bags and huts where you can watch the stunning sunset. Breakfast was small, but lovely. I ended up eating the spring rolls nearly every day. It's rustic, so if you prefer mid-scale hotels or really don't like bugs, it may not be for you. I was surprised not to find bugs or ants in my hut, just the odd mosquito that got in from the bathroom. There are lots of mosquitoes in the bathroom, so keep the door closed. The AC was amazing. The toilet wasn't bright white, but I've used much worse. The bathroom door needs a little extra love to slide along, so don't be too gentle with it.
