We were taken such good care of that, despite a few things I didn’t love, I’m still giving the place 5 stars. The bathroom door wouldn’t lock from the inside, the air conditioner blew right across the bed, and the shower swung between very hot and an ice cube. But the friendly staff, cats, great owner, and excellent value made up for it. On arrival, our room was ready early, and we got useful information about the island and accommodation, a welcome drink, earplugs for the mosque, and mosquito repellent. Every day, breakfast came to our terrace at the time we chose, beautifully arranged. We could refill water for free whenever we liked, including chilled water. The staff arranged snorkelling at a great price and even took us there. We didn’t need cleaning, and clean towels and toilet paper were always provided automatically. Everything went smoothly, and it was better than any 5-star resort. If you want to lounge by a pool, this isn’t the place, but the sea is a few steps away. The lovely wooded area gives you more peace and shade than any pool.

We spent one night here on our honeymoon, and it felt like home. Denise and Robi made the stay feel extra special. Such a peaceful little place, full of charm. One of those travel gems I’d love to return to. 💙🏝

It’s a small, cozy hotel, I think with only four rooms. The location was ideal for Gili Nyepi, close enough to walk to the main street but far enough from the party noise. The room was great, had all the essentials, and was cleaned every day. The staff were incredibly helpful. They even checked us in for our speedboat before we left. Breakfast was amazing too. I’d highly recommend it.

The owner, manager, and staff were all so friendly, and they served a delicious, healthy breakfast. On the day I left the island, the manager saw me off at the port and helped carry my heavy luggage onto the boat. This is more than just a hotel, it’s a lovely place. I’ll definitely visit Gilly Island again. I had a really lovely, comfortable stay, especially with all the cute cats. I’m Korean and love cats, and there are so many lovely ones on Gili Island.

The garden has a special kind of magic, and the location is great, close to the port and beaches. The staff were so friendly and helped me organise everything, even carrying my luggage back to the boat. It was also the best breakfast I had while travelling around Southeast Asia. It really felt like it was made with love. This place is fabulous, and I absolutely recommend it. I’ll definitely come back!
