The massage felt rushed and was much shorter than we expected. We’d asked several times if they’d use coconut oil and were repeatedly told yes, but there was no coconut smell, and after showering we found lots of soapy residue on our skin. It really didn’t feel like coconut oil had been used, despite what we’d been told. The place also smelled unpleasant, and the face rest was a bare cushion with no towel or cover, leaving us wondering how many people had used it. Hygiene seemed very poor. From arrival, the whole place felt unprofessional. Staff stood outside constantly calling “massage, massage” to draw tourists in, which quickly got annoying. A very unpleasant experience. We wouldn’t return or recommend it.

The restaurant isn’t on Google yet, so I’m leaving my review here. We were very satisfied with the food. The steaks were delicious, and they made the best margaritas this side of Mexico.

The food was okay, but the way they handled the drinks means we wouldn’t recommend the place. On the street they offered us a 2 for 1 cocktail deal, but once we sat down it had become 3 for 2 beers only. Bait and switch. Some of the beers we bought were rancid. We asked them to try a good one and a bad one, and they acted as though they couldn’t tell the difference.

The team looked after us so well during our four nights at Samba villa. Right from arrival, everyone greeted us with smiles and warmth, and they were happy to help with anything we asked. The villa, food and service were all 5stars, and its location made everything easy to reach. It’s not far from the harbour, and we could walk there straight from the boat. Thanks to the whole team for the lovely service, chats and laughs. My partner Daniel and I had a wonderful stay, and we’ll certainly be back!!! ❤️❤️

The beach right out front is a nice place to swim, and breakfast was good, served in the hotel gardens or in your room. Our room was clean, spacious and well air conditioned. The place is a little farther from the port and town centre, but it was a nice spot to stay.
