Taj Maza Sunset Villas

I was passing by and asked to use the toilet at their beach bar. They refused because I wasn’t a customer. That showed poor judgment and attitude, and gave me a bad impression of how they see hospitality. I wouldn’t want to be their customer.

The staff were amazing, super friendly, and helped us find places serving really local traditional food. When I started feeling a bit sick, they even made me fresh lemon and ginger tea. The rooms had plenty of space and good air-conditioning. The only issue was that the hot water had run out at night, probably because lots of guests had showered before us. The cool shower was actually refreshing. Really nice place to stay!

It’s very quiet, away from the crowds, with a perfect atmosphere for enjoying the Gili T beach. The food is okay, and they have a great photo spot for tourists, haha.

SCAM ALERT!!! I’m deeply dissatisfied with what happened to our reservation at Taj Maza Sunset Villas, which we made through Booking.com. Less than 10 minutes after booking, we found there were no direct flights from Brisbane to Lombok, so the trip wasn’t possible for us. We cancelled right away and asked for a refund of about $1,400 AUD. The owner of Taj Maza Sunset Villas refused to return the payment, despite how little time had passed between booking and cancellation. Booking.com couldn’t help us get the money back or offer meaningful support. Both Booking.com and Taj Maza Sunset Villas have handled this very poorly. Their lack of understanding or flexibility has caused us a lot of trouble and financial loss. We urge both parties to reconsider and issue a full refund. Until this is resolved, we’ll tell others to avoid booking with Taj Maza Sunset Villas or using Booking.com. This has been an extremely disappointing and unfair experience. We look forward to a prompt response and a satisfactory resolution.
