La Montana

The peaceful setting, surrounded by nature and mountain views, was a perfect break from the busy world. La Montana was spotless and beautifully kept. Ketut made the stay especially memorable. He was my guide throughout the trip as well as my host, and his kindness, humility, and upbeat energy made me feel at home. He took such good care of things that every moment felt comfortable and easy. If you want a clean, beautiful place with a host who really cares about your experience, I highly recommend it. 🌿✨

I was travelling alone and wanted to explore the waterfalls and the area, so I asked Ketut if he could drive me. He patiently took me everywhere I wanted and suggested extra places too, including a lovely rice field. We started at 5:45am to catch the sunrise at Viewpoint Twin Lakes, and it was absolutely worth getting up for. After that, Ketut made breakfast, then took me to a beautiful temple and dropped me off for jungle trekking and canoeing. We went on to Banyumala Waterfall, had lunch at Munduk village, visited rice fields, and finished at Munduk waterfall. It was a magical day, and Ketut was so gentle, kind, positive, and always smiling. He checked whether I needed anything and even made fresh ginger tea for me. The accommodation was very clean, bright, spacious, and had an amazing balcony view. The food was delicious too. If you want a personal experience around this beautiful area, ask Ketut to drive you. I highly recommend staying here!

We’d come to see the temple, but the weather turned cloudy and rainy when we arrived, so we looked around for somewhere to stay and found this place. It matched the photos exactly. We rested well and felt right at home thanks to the owner and his very friendly, helpful family. The views are beautiful, especially at sunset. There are full windows in the bathroom, so you can enjoy the scenery from the bath. A beautiful place to stay, definitely recommend it!

We had such a comfortable, relaxed time at La Montaña. The balcony outside the room was lovely, and the room itself was spacious and very clean, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, and the views were wonderful, most of all at sunset. Ketut was incredibly kind and helpful. He was there for anything we needed, including arranging a ride, cooking some food we’d brought, and sharing recommendations.
