Harry & Mimin Homestay

The staff were especially kind and helpful, and the location was quiet. Our room was simple but comfortable. Breakfast was nice, and tea and coffee were always available. Laundry service was an option too. Thanks to Harry for the snorkeling tips, general advice, and good vibes, and to the rest of the team for being so kind while we were there.

Harri made our stay in Gerontolo feel comfortable and well looked after. He's open-minded and always ready to help with questions or plans, and his calm, thoughtful manner made a real difference. The meals were simple but good. The accommodation itself is basic, and the street isn't especially scenic, so it's not for someone after charm or luxury. For a practical place to rest with a supportive host, it works well.

Mimi and Harry are deeply involved in the community. They work with the local college to teach young girls about tourism and train future guides and hosts. The rooms are basic but fine for a few days, and the location is great. Come with an open mind and you'll have a memorable, enjoyable stay, thanks especially to their effort to make local hospitality feel authentic.

Harry & Mimin and their whole family make you feel at home. It's a lovely homestay, with good rooms, scooters for rent, and bicycles guests can use. They can also help arrange activities around the Gorontalo area.
