My room was very dark because its window faced a wall. When I asked to move, the staff said all the rooms were full and they couldn't change it, but I believe they lied. I even asked about switching from a non-smoking room to a smoking room, and got the same claim that everything was full.

The receptionist said none of the safety boxes worked, so we had to use manual keys. Even then, some boxes still wouldn't open with the physical key. Management, you run a hotel where the safety boxes don't work? What kind of hotel is this? Worst experience with Amaris Mangga Besar.

Breakfast was great, with plenty of different foods and drinks, and you could take enough to feel full. The room was nice and clean, and the amenities were good. The bathroom is small, but there's enough room for normal use. They only provide two bottles of mineral water, though free refills are available from the dispensers. It was a nice stay.

The location in the center of Mangga Besar is great value for the price, and I'd definitely come back. The Wi-Fi was fast and breakfast was good. My room was clean and nice, and the AC was cold, though we had trouble with the remote. The staff handled the AC issue very well. The TV was rather small.

I stayed for 2 nights, and the room didn't seem properly maintained. There were dirty spots, and the air conditioner wasn't working right, leaving the room quite hot. I didn't sleep well.
