The service was awful. After we arrived, staff called more than twice to ask for an ID card they hadn't asked us for earlier. It was annoying. We came as four people and were charged extra, about as much as a hotel price, but they didn't provide the extra bed.

The room was clean, and the bathroom was fine, with a shower and warm water. You can walk to Bundaran HI in about 20 minutes, and the location is pretty convenient. The room lighting wasn't bright enough for me to read before bed, though. For the price, the room condition was fair.

I stayed for a few nights. They cleaned the room when needed, and there was cable TV, Wi-Fi, and a minibar. The bed looked neat but was hard, and the desk was good enough. The wallpaper needs fixing because it makes the place feel abandoned. I also couldn't find the rooftop area shown in the photos before my stay.

Both rooms smelled like old hotel rooms where smoking is allowed. In the first one, the small window had no curtain, so the streetlights kept it bright all night, and the AC was making very loud noises. I switched rooms, but that window had no curtain either, and the sink ran nonstop with no way to turn it off. I changed hotels for my last night in Jakarta.

The staff were polite and nice, and the space is decent for the price. The cold shower, AC, and Wi-Fi all worked. Just keep your expectations in check: it no longer looks like the quaint boutique hotel you might expect from the photos of Blessing Residence. It feels more like a motorist hotel or inn now, and the management company may have changed to Red Doorz.
