My deposit took over two months to come back, and I had to follow up to get it. This company keeps shifting costs and responsibilities onto tenants. When a company they hire damages something while fixing a lodging issue, they won't take responsibility and try to make you pay instead. It's a terrible business. I had to get a lawyer involved to resolve what was clearly a breach of their own written contract. Travelio, you're better than this. People live in these rentals. It's shameful to disregard your own contract and scam tenants into covering your costs. I rarely give a one-star review. I usually try to work issues out with the business so I can give five stars. I'll keep this brief.

I rented annually and then extended month by month. After the rental, the admin handling my deposit was really bad. I showed proof that I'd paid the building's electricity and water bills, but they still asked me for an invoice. I paid through a virtual account, and once the bill is paid it no longer appears. They said they needed to check the billing period and whether the owner might already have paid it directly. Travelio couldn't show me the building's bill to them or proof that they'd paid it, but they kept asking me for an invoice. I got tired of chatting with the admin, who kept asking for compensation without resolving anything. The whole thing went nowhere and ate into my deposit.
