OYO 128 Mutiara Suites

The pool is a decent medium size, with sections marked at 1 m and 1.5 m, so families with kids who like splashing around should be fine. The place is worth a look for a very cheap staycation with a pool. At around 300k, the room is huge and so is the bathroom. There's good wifi throughout the peripheral, though no smart TV. Hot water is available, but the shower pressure could be stronger.

The staff were friendly, but the room was very old and the hotel got really loud at night. The bed was clean, while the rest of the room wasn't really clean. For this quality, it costs too much. The photos must be old, since they make the place look nice. I wanted a beer around 11 PM, but couldn't get one because the refrigerator was locked and staff couldn't find the key.

It's a quiet, uncrowded spot with a comfortable bed, working hot water, and a clean, roomy bathroom. There are plenty of TV channels, and the location works well for South Jakarta, near the market and only 5 minutes from Kemang Village. For the price, the spacious room felt well worth it. The main drawback was that some usual basics, like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and towels, were missing. The pool was okay, and the service was great. I had a good stay and look forward to booking again.

I was in town on business, and my local contact arranged this stay. The original furniture and fittings looked top class, but the hotel is badly maintained. My bedding was stained and dirty, the curtains dusty and seemingly unwashed for a long time, and the toilet and sink were stained too. I had junior suite Room 214, opposite the mosque. The aircon was set to run for 2 hours and couldn't be reset. The room wasn't soundproof, so the mosque behind it woke me with early prayers at 5am. They offered me a ground-floor room instead, where I was told to bathe outside the tub. Mold covered the ceiling, and the room smelled damp and rotten. That smell seemed harmful, and I was surprised the manager thought moving me there was okay. My friend's standard room faced the highway, with traffic noise continuing into the early hours. I was offered a suite for a few nights, but had to leave when another guest's booking began. In the end I switched to a smaller hotel run by RedDoors, where I got cool aircon, TV programs, and uninterrupted sleep. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Mutiara Suites for foreigners!
