Grand Hyatt Jakarta

We could see what was happening at Bundaran HI from our bedroom windows during our New Year’s Eve stay. The location and service were both great, and the whole visit from check-in to check-out went smoothly. The executive lounge staff were friendly and attentive, and the food there was delicious. Dinner at Sana Sini was delicious too. Because of our loyalty membership, the hotel gave us complimentary late check-out until 3pm, which we appreciated. Rona at Reception, Pur from Concierge, who took care of our many bags, and Jessica in the executive lounge all looked after us especially well.

The breakfast spread is huge, so come hungry. There are local dishes, Japanese food, Chinese dim sum, European choices, and plenty more. I might skip lunch and dinner today. The hotel is in the heart of Jakarta CBD with lots of shopping centers nearby. Service was excellent from check-in through check-out and all the moments in between. For my daughter’s birthday, staff brought a cake to the room and sang happy birthday. We also used the outdoor pool, in-room dining, breakfast, social hour, and executive lounge, and saw good service from security and parking as well. My recent stay was top notch. Personal tip: ask for a room in the new tower.

I picked this hotel for its central location at Bundaran HI and because I’d had lunch there before and really liked the food. It also has an undeniable view of Jakarta. The room was nice and typical of a five-star grand deluxe. Service felt standard. I waited an hour and a half to check in during Valentine’s peak season, with nothing complimentary for the wait. We bought chocolate ourselves at the lobby chocolate cafe.

The location is excellent and convenient, and room service was efficient and commendable. I had a comfortable stay at Pullman Jakarta Indonesia Thamrin. Breakfast was very good, with a wide range of cuisines. My Superior Twin Room was a little small, and the hotel has been around for a while, but it’s still well maintained.
