The room and its upkeep were good, but the food wasn’t. At reception, they didn’t even check my booking and said no rooms were booked under my name. As a foreigner, I also noticed what seemed like racist looks from them.

The toilet was the one good part: it was clean, with warm water and a shower. But we’d asked for a non-smoking room and customer service said one was available, then gave us a smoking room that smelled strongly of cigarette residue. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, only in the lobby, which I found unacceptable. We’ve stayed at cheaper hotels where Wi-Fi worked throughout the property. The staff weren’t very friendly either, especially the receptionist at the front desk. Once was enough.

There are lots of street food choices in the evening, and Alfamart is nearby. It’s cheap but decent, and a pretty nice place for a stay or transit otherwise. Some parts of the room weren’t cleaned properly, with spiderwebs easy to spot and mold on the wall.

The air conditioner barely cooled the room and seems like it needs maintenance. I also wouldn't recommend this place for kids, since every room is a smoking room. Having children breathe that in while they sleep is a real concern.
