I couldn’t sleep here. The walls are so thin you hear everything, and the WiFi didn’t work. The sheets were stained with what looked like bodily fluids, as if they hadn’t been washed. The restrooms were dirty enough that I avoided using them. Water came out yellow, and the showerhead was black and moldy. The bad reviews are right.

After we’d paid in full, they made us check out a day early and move to a cheaper room so other guests could take ours. That really made me angry and wasted our time. There had already been confusion over the room price: the one I booked had no toilet, so we upgraded to a room with a private toilet. They first said it would cost 275rb, but after we’d spent one night there, they said 375rb instead. When I got angry and spoke to them, they apologized and said they’d take 275rb. We’ve had a lot of service issues since arriving. They showed no respect for their customers.

Room 107 was hard to sleep in. It was near the staircase, so noise kept disturbing me through the night, and there was a loud knocking around 1000am the next day, likely from hotel construction. I’d barely slept. The bathroom had visible mold and smelled unpleasant, and I was also told I couldn’t leave luggage after check-out. I picked this hotel because early check-in was advertised, but when I arrived at 12 PM, reception said I couldn’t check in until 3 PM. With all these issues, I’m extremely dissatisfied and won’t return. I strongly advise others to consider other accommodation in the area.

There’s a lot to like here if you want an affordable stay in Jakarta. It’s only a 5 minutes' walk to Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia, Bundaran HI, and more. The place looks new, with cozy, unusual interiors, though from outside it looks like a regular food stall. A little hidden gem, haha. It has three floors, but no elevator. The rooms have a big fridge, TV, and air conditioning, and the staff are very helpful. They provide toiletries, drinking water, and slippers. The lodging entrance uses a passcode, which felt secure. Nearby food is affordable, and self-service laundry costs 40k per wash, up to 7 kg. The stay doesn’t feel cheap despite the price. A couple things to know: some rooms don’t have a private bathroom, so you may need to share one. Booking is only through apps, I used Tiket.com. It’s a fantastic affordable, high-quality option in Jakarta.
