At 6:30 in the morning, loud music started playing in our room. When I called the lobby, they explained how to turn it off but never said why they thought that was a good idea so early. The room itself was in poor shape, with dust everywhere, smudged sheets, a broken mirror, and an air conditioner draining into the bathroom. The furnishings are outdated and poorly maintained. The bed was uncomfortable, with springs you could feel, and the pillows were too thin. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It’s a waste of money and energy.

The location is the only reason I’d consider this hotel. We booked a double room but they tried to give us a twin, and it took too much fuss to get the room we reserved. We understand the religious considerations at Muslim oriented businesses, but if a double room is listed on the booking sites, they should be ready to provide one. They also kept a deposit for the room key, something we hadn’t encountered in the many other regions of Indonesia where we’ve stayed. And compared with those other accommodations, the value for money didn’t seem good. I wouldn’t recommend it apart from the location.

They let us check in at 1:00 pm, and the service was good. The room was fairly clean and spacious, and the location worked well for us. There’s also a small restaurant beside the reception, with good food at reasonable prices.
