The room layout is quite clever for the limited space, and the air conditioning and hot shower both worked well. For a budget stay, it was moderately okay, but cleanliness needs work. The towels were worn out, no longer white, and had holes. The shower room was tiny, about the size of the wardrobe. Checking in was awkward. The front desk person was watching TV and looked at us suspiciously until we said we were checking in. He asked for the RedDoorz booking number, checked the computer, then called someone to ask which room was available. After we got to our room, he knocked to ask for payment upfront. When I asked for a receipt, he didn’t know how to make one and called someone else. That person said I didn’t need a receipt. I politely explained that I’d paid and needed one. He offered to provide it the next day instead. These guys need five minutes of training on the receipt procedure.

The location was good, but the rest was awful. The parking space was too narrow, and the room was tiny and not very clean. The AC didn’t work, so I had to move rooms. The TV had only a few channels and kept crackling now and then. Worst of all, there was no elevator, while breakfast was on the fourth floor. I had to carry my baby up the stairs, and my elderly parents struggled with them. I definitely won’t come back.

We were put right in front of reception, so there was no privacy, and the thin walls let you hear everything in both directions. You can’t smoke in the room, but there’s no rooftop or balcony for it either. The place was so-so and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The room and price were good, but noise from cleaning and other activity through the morning woke me up several times. Reception didn’t understand English.

The location is decent, but the room is very basic. There’s no hair dryer, the showerhead leaks, and the breakfast wasn’t worth waking up to try.
