Redstar Hotel

The towels were very old and had dirty marks on them, and the hotel is close to the red light district. Still, I like staying here for a budget hotel. It's about a five-minute walk from Mangga Besar station. My room was clean and really quiet, the AC worked well, and breakfast was okay. The rooftop cafe has a nice city view. From the room window, you can see a beautiful football stadium where some local people dance in the morning.

I was in room 201 from 8 to 11 Nov and had no hot water or Wi-Fi for all four days. When I asked the front desk lady on the 10th if I could switch rooms, she came up with excuses. She said twice, once in the morning and again in the afternoon, that she'd get someone to fix it, but nobody ever did. She also gave me a long face. Someone like that should be fired. Plenty of younger, friendlier and more helpful people deserve the job. Worst hotel I've stayed at in my whole life.

I checked out last night and headed to the airport, but I left my charging plug and two cables in room 210. Please hold on to them, and I can pick them up next time I check in. Or a friend going to Jakarta could collect them for me. Thank you. 🙏

The bathroom wasn't clean, the water came out red, and the sheets and pillowcases were dirty. Breakfast was average. The reception staff behaved very badly, and did so more than once.
