Sans Hotel Puri Indah Jakarta

The building itself is good, clean and comfortable, which makes what happened a shame. I’ve had a very good stay here before, but this visit during Idul Fitri was a letdown. I’m from Bali, where we’re used to good service, especially with food, and this was a serious hospitality failure. There wasn’t enough breakfast for the guests, or other guests may have taken it all. Perhaps the food quantity was too low for the number of rooms booked. The shortage of staff during Idul Fitri may have contributed. No one checked room numbers or cards, so maybe some people came in beyond the room capacity and took advantage of the lack of control, I think. I went to the buffet around 8:15 and it was empty. I came back at 9:30 and it was still empty. The only staff member there didn’t know what was happening with the kitchen or food, and said they were preparing or cooking it. I gave up waiting and ate instant ramen instead. Management should look into what happened during this peak season.

The location worked really well, with convenience stores, restaurants and a mall nearby. We stayed in a suite as a family, and the place was very clean. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly. Highly recommend.

So far it’s been good. They have a water dispenser, which makes it easy for me to refill my cup with hot water. I do feel a little unsafe about the bathroom’s glass door, though. There are small holes on both sides, so someone outside could peek in while you’re using it.

The suite was really spacious and nice. I stayed for one night. It’s right across from a big mosque, though, so staying there on takbir night might not be a wise choice.
