The island itself could use some maintenance so visitors can enjoy the nature and water more, but the people there are welcoming, and I’d definitely come back. Michael and his mum deserve plenty of guests for their wonderful fresh seafood. We had a lovely few days at this homestay. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and cooked the best meals on the island. It’s also very close to the port, which made everything easy.

The food was the highlight of my time on the island. Each day brought a surprise meal, with vegetables, fish, seafood, meat, and fruit. They offer extra breakfast, lunch, and dinner at an affordable price, and it’s all homemade and incredibly good. The place is super nice and the service is amazing. Thanks so much for being so hospitable, I hope I can come back!

At about 500 meters from the port, Sisca Homestay made getting around the island easy. For me, it’s become more than just somewhere to sleep, I’ll come back whenever I visit Tidung Island. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and Mrs. Sisca and her son, Mike, really go out of their way for guests. Mrs. Sisca is great at seafood, just tell her what you’d like and she’ll make wonderful dishes that capture the taste of the sea. If comfort, friendly hospitality, and reasonable prices are what you want, Sisca Homestay is the place to stay. It may be the most prominent homestay on Tidung Island right now.

The Sisca family made our stay feel like home, and leaving after a few days was really hard. We had lots of good conversations and shared a lot, it was relaxing and such a pleasant visit. They even walked us to the harbor, just five minutes away, to make sure we got good seats. The island itself isn’t especially beautiful, with very few small beaches. But the family arranged boats to take us to some amazing different places, and lent us snorkeling gear. They also made delicious meals when we needed them, some of the best we had. The rooms are simple but more than enough for where you are, and very clean. A first-floor room gives you a lovely terrace for the evening or nighttime view and breeze. If you’re visiting the Thousand Islands, Tidung is a good option. It’s fairly big, with several warung and a hospital. And if you go to Tidung, Sisca Homestay is the best choice.

The island was very dirty, and honestly we didn’t like it much. But finding such a clean place felt like heaven, and our stay there was great. It felt like home, and the staff were incredibly kind and always tried to help. They even let us use their home kitchen so we could make a simple, homey dinner. That really made the experience for us.
