There’s a nice family feeling here, with shared areas where people can eat, and the staff are helpful. They speak a little English, though conversations can be limited, so Google Translate comes in handy. The owner is putting money into upgrades for the rooms and hallways. It’s good value for the price, as long as you don’t expect 5* accommodation. The area outside looks a little run down, and the hotel has a few issues. WiFi is available and usable, but it’s not the best and I had to keep logging in. There aren’t many things nearby, though there are local shops, a laundry, and hardware stores. Grab is useful for getting around, and the hotel is central in the city. There’s plenty of street food close by, and the hotel serves food at decent prices. I’d recommend it. Contact them directly for a good rate, since major booking sites add commission to the price.

I’ve never had staff treat me with such humility and kindness, especially in Jakarta. No other inn has been like this for me. It’s in a good spot in Senen, and the price is excellent.

A convenient option if you have an early train and want to arrive the night before. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Pasar Senen Train Station.
