A laid-back spot with a lovely panorama, where you can just relax with your feet in the water. The room was okay, not very spacious but big enough, with a very high ceiling, attached bathroom, fan, and air-conditioning. The bed was large, queen-plus size, and breakfast was awesome. It’s 300 meters from the ferry and within walking distance of everything. The staff were welcoming, and the whole place has a calm, remote-island feel.

You can enjoy the sea view from the terrace at the back. It’s a typical budget hostel and they serve breakfast too. The place is also close enough to walk to Karimun Jawa Harbour in about five minutes.

We stayed for six days and felt right at home in this simple but comfortable room. Mas Umam was always there to help whenever we needed something. Breakfast was included, and because there weren’t many guests when I visited, he also let me cook for myself.

A nice hostel with a really nice host. But our room felt like 1000°C, and there was no way to cool it down without AC.
