The room didn’t meet our expectations. The AC was leaking damp onto the wall, and the bathroom was grim. The girl who welcomed us at check-in was lovely, though, and the harbour is nearby, which is handy if you need to catch an early ferry to Kirimunjawa.

The room was beyond comfortable, and the restaurant was beautiful. We visited the gecho in town hotel as a family and got family-friendly service from the staff, who were always friendly. It’s in a great location, and I’ll definitely come back!

The bed was good, and the room was reasonably clean. It’s an okay hotel, but the rooms are a bit dated and run-down, with loose fittings and a wonky shower.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our plans went sideways, and they let us check out late. The room was spacious and clean, much nicer than I expected. The AC worked well, and several TV channels actually came in. The bathroom needs work, though. Water barely trickled from the sink, and the shower wasn’t much better. Its head is falling apart and sprays everywhere. The towel rack is oddly inside the shower and was half torn off the wall. We’d stay here again, and probably will.

It’s right in the city center, so getting around is easy, and you can walk out to find food. But the fried rice here is really delicious.
