Hill Dance Bali American Hotel

Breakfast was fresh and really delicious. The rooms and garden were very clean and well maintained, and the owners were welcoming and friendly. It’s peaceful and relaxing, and I’d definitely stay again.

I absolutely loved staying here. It’s a lovely family, with great breakfast and help whenever we needed it. I don’t understand the bad reviews. They’re a family working hard at a small business, offering a cheap stay in Bali close to a dream surf beach. Come on, be a bit nicer, you spoilsport cheap tourists!

The property itself is lovely, and the woman in charge was very kind. Breakfast was good too. But the room listing was misleading. The photos showed a kitchen and outdoor seating for the “family suite,” and the word “cottage” made me expect something more like a small house or villa. I paid about $30 instead of the usual $15-$20 because of that. In reality, the cottage was just a small room with a bathroom, visible in the background of the family suite photos. There weren’t even any photos of the cottage itself, so I’ve attached one in hopes the listing gets updated. I specifically asked for an “upstairs cottage like pictures,” but all three cottages are small rooms downstairs. I’m not sure why the owner didn’t get back to me to clarify.

The family who run the hotel were so welcoming and gave us plenty of helpful advice. Even the little kids came running over to greet us. We stayed a few nights in October 2023 and had a great time. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning worked, and breakfast was included. After a hot day out exploring, the pool was just right.
