The location in jimbaren is good, and the staff are friendly. But the room was old, low-budget, and not maintained. WiFi had problems every day, so if you depend on it for work, you’ll be interrupted daily.

The location is good, but that’s about it. Staff talk loudly in the corridors around 8 or 9 in the morning, making it impossible to sleep in. The internet is extremely slow, and they didn’t even provide toilet paper. The photos make the place look much better than it is. Paint is peeling in the rooms and corridors, and nothing seems maintained.

I stayed at Jim's Residence for a long-term international university internship, and it became a welcoming second home. Herlin and Cun Ji were especially helpful, checking that I was okay and had what I needed for a comfortable extended stay. It was peaceful for me, even though you can hear the usual sounds of streets, animals, and other people wherever you go. Coming back to my room meant I could sleep comfortably before the next workday. The central location made it easy and cheap to get to the airport, Kuta, Uluwatu, beaches, and restaurants, without being in the traffic and tourist crowds. Next time I’m in Bali, I’ll stay at Jim's Residence again to see the lovely staff, who’ve become lifelong international friends and a second family.
