The pork on our large grill platter was still raw inside, even after I asked the waiter to cook it more. When it first arrived, I cut into it and saw it was undercooked. The waiter said that was because I’d asked for medium, though I’d assumed his question was about the beef. I told him pork should be well done, but the piece he brought back was the same one and was still raw inside. You can see the “re-cooked” version in the photo. The platter also had lamb, a red snapper, and one octopus tentacle. We’d come to the restaurant for lunch.

We ate here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during our hotel stay, and couldn’t have been happier. The food was amazing, with generous portions and high-quality ingredients. The restaurant’s setting is spectacular, with views over the Indian Ocean. The service was unbeatable. Everyone was attentive, efficient, and polite, always keeping an eye on what we might need. Ratih deserves a special mention for excellent service, dish recommendations, and interesting insights into Balinese and Indonesian culture. Highly recommended!

I’ve been here so many times and have never been disappointed. Not many people seem to know the place, but everything is good: the view, pools, restaurant, and private beach you can access from the resort. I also love the massage with the ocean view. You can choose coffee or other options for your massage. I recommend it!

The restaurant at la joya has an incredible 180-degree view of the sunset. The food is amazing too, don’t miss it.
