The Leaf Jimbaran Resort

The staff made our two weeks here feel like staying with family. We made lots of new friends, including Arik, Julian, Nathan, Merta, and sera, and their care helped make the vacation wonderful. Service was amazing, and the buffet breakfast was great. We also got massages at the resort, which were amazing, and spent plenty of time in the pool. A railing would help with getting in and out. We had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend the resort.

We had a Balinese-style wedding with Indonesian food, and it was a beautiful experience. We celebrated with 40 guests on the rooftop, and also received a free massage, candlelight dinner, and a night in the villa. The villa itself is so beautiful, and I can definitely recommend it. I’m very grateful to everyone on staff, especially Ms. Isma and the Hotel Management, who helped us plan everything while I was still in Germany. They made it easy to arrange the wedding from overseas and fulfilled every wish I had.

The hotel itself is good, but getting there is really difficult. Coming from Jimbaran beach, the road is in such poor shape that it’s basically dirt and rubble. There’s a lot of rubbish along it, and locals burn trash by the roadside every day. The road is busy, with a few narrow turns right in front of the hotel. A few changes could make the approach more comfortable. Mirrors at those tight turns might mean drivers wouldn’t need to honk whenever they pass. The road could be cleaned now and then, and the hotel might ask locals to stop burning trash or support getting the road repaired. None of this is essential, but it would make a stay at The Leaf Jimbaran more enjoyable.

We spent two nights at The Leaf Jimbaran in December 2025, in a one-bedroom villa with a private pool. The large indoor bedroom and living space had air conditioning, a big sofa, and a TV, and we really enjoyed relaxing there. The bathroom was extra large but didn’t have air conditioning, with a separate tub, shower, and toilet. There was also a covered outdoor dining and kitchen area. Since it was the wet season and very humid, we didn’t use that kitchen much. Breakfast was included and decent, with fruit, pastries, Western and local dishes, coffee, juice, and an omelet station. The selection felt a little limited compared with other five-star hotels, but we still enjoyed it. Cleanliness was acceptable, although some furniture and equipment looked aged, probably from Bali’s humid climate. The property is quiet and away from busy streets, but the access road is narrow and the pavement damaged. There’s no direct beach access either. For Jimbaran Beach, you need a taxi, Grab, or the hotel shuttle, which runs 3-4 times a day. If you want a peaceful retreat with a spacious villa and pool, and might cook outside when the weather permits, this is a good choice.
