The Xotic Jimbaran Bali

My husband and I stayed for seven days. The first room had ants everywhere and a stained mattress, so we asked to move the next day. The new room was much better and cleaner overall, though there were still some ants. The room was a decent size, but the shower setup was odd: it had glass panels, yet the water made the whole floor wet. The sink also leaked now and then. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Dogs and roosters in the area made a lot of noise in the mornings and evenings. For the price, the stay was manageable. I wouldn't come back, but we got by.

We left after one night because the room was horrible. Small openings in the windows were left open without screens, and the room was full of mosquitoes. The sink and bidet leaked and kept the bathroom wet, and the fridge leaked too. A hen clucked every hour through the night, so we got no sleep. The top of the closet was really dirty, like it had never been cleaned. I wanted to put things there because the room was very small. There was no hot water, just lukewarm, and the air conditioning was really loud. We told the staff about the problems, and they said to our face that we'd get a refund if we went through Agoda. But after we left and requested it through Agoda, the hotel refused to refund us.

The bed is comfortable, but there are a lot of problems. The walls need replacing, the shower layout is terrible, and the lamps don't even have bulbs. The toilet water hose is broken, and an electrical socket is broken and hanging out dangerously. The wifi didn't work on my phone either.

The staff made us feel so welcome, they were friendly and accommodating. Our room was quiet, spotless, and had a really comfortable bed, with lovely decor and a fairly new feel. It’s also fairly close to our favorite spots in Uluwatu. We’d love to stay again.
