Villa Senada by Nakula

Ten of us, including children aged 5 and 12, stayed at this villa for a week. The pool was nice and so was the location, but someone broke into all our rooms while we were asleep in the middle of the night and took our cash and a V8 camera, worth over 5.000 USD in total. We found out first thing in the morning and told the butler and manager. Their first response was, “because you didn't put money in the safe box , that's why your money was stolen”. They seemed to treat how easily someone could break in as if it wasn’t their problem. We lost the whole day dealing with the slow-motion local police and had to cancel our plans. None of us have slept well since. If we hear a noise outside, we wake up and check around the house. There’s a major security problem here, whether this was an inside job or not. There were so many ways this incident could have become worse. Fortunately, we only lost money. Don’t risk your safety at this place. The picture shows the only CCTV in the villa, and it caught just one guy on camera.

The area has that Ubud kind of feel, even though Jimbaran beach is only about a five-minute walk away. We had a lovely stay, and the staff were nice.

Our villa was spacious and came with a good swimming pool. The food was tasty, and the staff were friendly. We were very happy staying here, thanks.
