The quiet setting makes Vivara Bali Private Pool Villas & Spa Retreat a restful place to get away from the busy tourist areas. It's still close to central areas, but a car or scooter is needed to get around conveniently. For privacy and a slower pace, that trade-off works. The villas are roomy and thoughtfully designed, with traditional Balinese details that give them a warm feel. My private pool was clean and serene, a lovely spot for a morning swim among the greenery. The room had a large bed and an open-concept bathroom that suited the tropical resort feel. Some parts looked a little worn and could use maintenance to match the premium positioning, though the atmosphere was still cozy and inviting. The staff were friendly and always smiling, but the service wasn't as polished or attentive as at some of Bali's top luxury resorts. Responses could be slow, particularly for room service or amenities. Vivara Bali is a nice fit for couples or small families who value comfort, nature, and quiet. With more attention to upkeep and service, it could be a five-star stay.

The villas were beyond what we expected, and the staff were incredibly kind, going out of their way to make us comfortable. We booked Vivara for our honeymoon and ended up wishing we'd stayed here the whole time. The buffet breakfast and restaurant food were delicious, and the facilities were great. There's a huge guest pool, wonderful spa services, a fantastic restaurant, and world-class staff. The villas are even more beautiful and luxurious than their photos suggest. This was the best stay we've ever had, and we're definitely coming back. I can't recommend Vivara enough.

We spent three nights in these beautifully appointed villas, and it felt like a dream. The private pools are huge and even have their own massage corner. It's such a relaxing break from Bali's hustle. Housekeeping and turndown service were excellent, and there's a huge shared pool too if you'd like to use it.

The staff were great and the service was amazing. The only thing I'd complain about is the laundry price. Go to the local place across the road and save yourself $45 au.
