Bottelmania

We planned a dolphin swim at Lovina Beach and booked one night in Bottelmania. It's easy to find and very close to the beach. We arrived around 5pm and had booked the family room, which was all ready. The staff welcomed us warmly and were incredibly helpful. We swam that evening since we knew we wouldn't have time the next day, and they even switched on the jets for the small jacuzzi. Nothing was too much trouble. The place is beautifully decorated, too. Two of our four got sick on checkout morning and we missed checkout. The staff stayed polite and friendly when they asked us about it. We extended our stay while ill, and they went above and beyond again. They brought jasmine and ginger tea when they heard we were unwell, and offered to cook eggs and potatoes. The next morning, once we felt better, we had delicious pancakes with fresh fruit. The one downside is the nearby mosque, which can be loud during the calls, as early as 5am. That's not the villa's fault. I can't recommend this place enough, and I'll definitely return. Thanks again!

I've stayed at more than 100 hotels around the world, and I've never felt so unwelcome. We paid for the night and checked out of our room properly at 10:00. After checkout, we asked a woman if we could still swim, and she gave us towels. About 20 minutes later, another woman got angry that we were still in the pool after the 11:00 checkout time. She took the towels and told us to leave. It felt as if we were no longer guests once checkout had passed. In other hotels, we've been able to use the facilities after checking out. This wasn't a nice way to treat guests. Also, when we tried to check in yesterday at 16:00, our room wasn't ready and they still had to start cleaning it.

There are three speakers on each side of the mosque nearby, so prayers are audible at 5am and throughout the day. Roosters also keep going nonstop. The curtains are very thin, the walls are too, and you can hear everything. The shower was clogged. The workers are nice, but the woman running things gives off such a negative vibe that I'd stay away. The location isn't great either, and this place is way overrated. I don't know who wrote those nice reviews. We arrived at 4pm, two hours after check-in was supposed to begin, and our room still wasn't ready. The woman, the 'big boss', said she was 'upgrading us' because the kids were loud. While we waited, she offered us a 'welcome' inconvenience drink, and we asked for a beer. She said okay, but when we got into the spacious room, the Wi-Fi worked great and the room itself was fine. During our three-day stay, nobody asked if we needed service or cleaning. We wanted to rent scooters, but she wouldn't be flexible and seemed to be trying to rip us off on the scooters and 'dolphin tour', so we didn't use her services. At breakfast, which included juice and fruit, the nice girl working for her had to ask permission to give us juice. In the end, we were charged for the welcome inconvenience drink that was supposed to be free. She sent her husband to collect the money. It seems like everyone is afraid of her. She wouldn't sell us a beer, then charged us for the welcome drink.

The room was really clean, and the staff were so nice. Thank you 🙏🙏
