I did make a new friend in the form of a big gecko, which was kind of adorable. But it was really hard to get hold of the staff. The pool was dirty when we arrived, and although I'd booked the villa for the view, our room had none, just a dirty garden and pool. I thought about checking out, but it was quite far from the main road, so we ended up staying with an uncomfortable vibe.

The Kayuputih Villas are in the quiet hills above busy Lovina beach, and I spent nine wonderful days there. The villa is private, comfortable, clean, and relaxing. I could step out of bed and straight into the pool, then take my scooter down to Lovina for touristy things or head uphill to enjoy the local company and panoramic views. A big bonus for me was the location across from Warung Koming, my favourite Warung in all of Bali. The food is fresh, delicious, and authentically Balinese, and the people are the friendliest and most welcoming I've met on the island. The villa is new since my last visit to the area. If you want busy, touristy Bali, this probably isn't the spot. For a stay that lets you experience 'Bali', I totally recommend the Kayuputih area and The Kayuputih Villas.

Clean and really quiet, with a private pool. They have villas with one or two bedrooms. The WiFi was a bit slow. Recommended.

It's a nice villa with friendly staff. The restaurant was closed, unfortunately, but they provide a stove and utensils, so you can cook there.

Good value for money. The villas are comfy and have private dipping pools, and there's a nice view of Lovina from the restaurant and cafe. Highly recommend.
