I stayed at Lorin Solo over a long weekend and had a really pleasant time. People might see it as old-fashioned, or think it's mostly for older guests, but I enjoyed it as a young traveller. I got into the city in the morning, and the staff offered me an early check-in at 8 am. I was lucky since it depended on availability, and I'd never had that offered anywhere else. The hospitality was top-notch. If there was a minor issue, maintenance showed up in under five minutes, even at 2 am. When I asked for a bottled water refill, the bellboy was there in about a minute. The receptionist always found a way to arrange service, and none of my requests went unfulfilled, however small. I stayed in two rooms, a Deluxe Suite and an Executive King. Both had a 55" Smart TV with cable channels, which impressed me for an older hotel. I attached shaky videos with mini room tours of both, if you're curious. The buffet breakfast could have had more variety in its main courses, but I had no other complaints. If you want a truly peaceful stay, Lorin Solo is the right choice. It made me feel like royalty on a budget, and showed me what a four-star stay can be like.

The room was quite large, with a bathtub and balcony, but it wasn't the cleanest room I've stayed in. I had low expectations since this is an old hotel, and the stay confirmed them. I asked room service twice to bring plates and spoons, but they never came. The bath gel was empty, I was given only bar soap, and I had to ask for a hair dryer. The pool was crowded in the morning and very dark at night. The jacuzzi was dirty, and its temperature wasn't consistent: hot at night, just warm in the morning. I did enjoy the cold plunge, though. The sauna was old but spacious, and they should provide a bucket of water for the stone. There was a good variety at breakfast, but the lauk at the rice station had only about two choices, with no fish. The pastries, cake and dessert were mediocre. The porridge and egg station saved breakfast, but it's telling that the best food was something that's hard to mess up.

A lovely classic eco-friendly green hotel, with good meals and great service. The pool is lovely, and you can get fresh juices and other drinks at the bar while hanging out there. I sat down for a double, but Bintang beer was absent.

Our Mutu Gading Tekstil-TPME & TPMU department held a Halal Bi Halal gathering at Lorion, Solo, and we enjoyed the facilities. Special thanks to Ms. Rere (F&B Sales of Lorin), who supported us and coordinated with our team to make the event a success. The food was nice and delicious.

The atmosphere was cozy and I had a pleasant stay overall. My room was clean and the breakfast was good. The air conditioner in Room 1205 needs repair because it's too noisy, and the hot water doesn't work. Comments from a traveller from Malaysia.
