The facilities are really good, and the place is clean and comfortable. I'd recommend it for couples or groups who want a halal-friendly stay.

This is a favorite spot for a getaway with your partner. The hot water works sometimes and then doesn't, and a lot of the TV channels come through fuzzy. It'd also be more comfortable for guests if they could provide food options.

I've stayed here regularly since elementary school, and I'm in high school now. Whenever I go to Tawangmangu, it's usually just the two of us staying here. Lately, though, I've been really disappointed. The owner once said, "If you want to stay here, please, if you don't, please," and I regretted hearing that. I'm sorry if any of this comes across wrong or offensive, but it's how I feel as a longtime customer questioning the loss of things we used to get. The price used to be 150,000 and included breakfast, but on several visits recently there was no breakfast. I felt too embarrassed to ask. After Eid, it went up to 250,000, which I understand, but breakfast wasn't included. I also checked the regular-day rate and was told it had risen to 200,000, still without breakfast. If prices go up, I hope the service improves too.

You can look out at Mount Lawu right from the balcony of this recommended villa near the Lawu Highway. They have plenty of rooms, and guests are welcomed with a coffee or hot tea.
