Hotel O Marta Residence

OYO's system is a mess. My booking code came up as "not found," then reception asked for 2.5 times the price. It seems they count on guests hanging around until they give up. The place is generally dirty, too. I'd rather pay 300,000-400,000 IDR at another budget hotel than spend 200,000 IDR here and end up frustrated.

I was already exhausted and just wanted to sleep, so I ended up paying the extra 65,000 Rupiah the receptionist asked for. I'd booked through Agoda at a promotional rate of 70,000 Rupiah, but no clear reason was given for the difference between the app and check-in price. This needs fixing. If they can't honor promotional prices, they shouldn't list the place on other apps.

The sheets looked a little dirty, so we asked the staff to change them, but the replacements were the same color. In the end, my parents and I slept using scarves instead of sheets 🤣🤣🤣. The hot shower worked fine and things were otherwise okay, but the price didn't match the app: they charged 150 thousand on weekdays and 200 thousand on weekends.

I drove up from Jakarta with two friends and checked in at 3 a.m., worn out and hoping to rest. The receptionist wasn't at the desk and came out of a room instead. When I said I was fine and would go home because of the people there, he bluntly told me to find another hotel. I thought the three of us could stay, and I know that too! Was he still BO? I'm suspicious. Watch your language next time, and maybe Oyo should train you.
